Yup, we all knew this was going to happen as soon as Roe V Wade was gutted.

Here's the thing..technically the police are following the law, abortion is a crime in Nebraska, just as it is a crime for nationalists to plot bombings, kidnappings etc which they use social media to do worldwide, nationalist threats are on the rise. The white nationlist threat is obviously much more of a threat to the safety of large amounts of people than abortions, but, not enough people bothered to show up to protect abortion rights so now abortion is a crime in Nebraska so technically speaking the mother and daughter conspired to commit a crime, therefore, the cops are doing their jobs.

Cops monitoring social media to find law breakers is not the real issue here, the real issue is that voters refused to show up and make sure women's rights were protected.

Is it horrible that these people are being prosecuted for abortions? Yup as an abortion is not a threat to society at large, however, if people want to make a difference and stop it, show up to vote.

Currently 44% of white women in Texas are still supporting the GOP/Abbott. The assumption that women will suddenly turn liberal over abortion isn't proven yet so things may get worse before they get better.
