If we, here in the States, dealt with our massive wealth gap, funded mental health care and drug rehab programs through taxes and figured out a healthcare system similar to most of Europe's that would allow us to not rely on religious charities. The fact that we have to speaks volumes about our priorities. Churches thrive when people are suffering, decrease the suffering, there's no need for Churches.
