Would have been more useful I think to explain that he's basically following in his Dad's footsteps first and perhaps delve into the abuse he probably suffered as a kid versus going right into "Oh just another wealthy asshole who is a rapist and a liar, what else is new." These people don't just pop out of nowhere and seeing as how we're trying to change the scripts on toxic male behaviors this would have been an interesting place to start all of that. I don't think anyone worshipped Dan, I follow him on Twitter because he occasionally makes some interesting points. And when are people in general going to stop dating strangers who just slide into their DMs, especially famous people? Like come on, we know how this story ends.

Dan sounds like a dick, that sucks and he should be in prison and getting therapy for his issues. However, our culture creates these monsters with pushing internet Fame and hero worship. He did all the "right" things and got rewarded because people spend far too much time looking for drama and interest on social media and clickbait always wins out in the end.
