Societies all have developed similar moral codes to survive as societies, it has nothing to do with an imposed code from a God. Although animals that live in social structures are actually much better behaved than we are, they kill each other less, share better and work together in a more harmonious fashion. And let's be real here, humans murder and steal from each other constantly, it is simply the scale of it that controls when we do and do not decide if it is moral. Wars are murder, but since we're fighting for a cause it is okay to murder each other, to the victors go the spoils translates to state sanctioned stealing for all intents and purposes. The Church itself had no issue torturing "heretics" so I don't think the concept of morality does much to prove a God exists, to me it proves the opposite as quite often the most immoral people are very religious.

The rest of your statements all boil down to "I want to feel special". Animals have consciousness and more and more were discovering that plants communicate through chemicals and have some sense of self awareness, "intelligent design" comes down to people wanting to think that humans couldn't have evolved naturally so there has to be someone "secret magic" at work. Elephanta mourn, remember and have self awareness, so do most sea mammals, dogs can make complicated choices when they become service dogs and are shown how to help humans navigate daily lives, the list goes on.

There is nothing so different in humans to justify this idea that we were created. We just assume every other life form on the planet in inferior because we have massive egos and want to dominate it all, which is why we convientently wrote that into the Judeo Christian bible whereas most indigenous and pagan beliefs focused on living with the land, not destroying it. Christians wanted to have a justification for dominating the world around them so we wrote it into the Bible.
