Probably because the numbers are so insignificant that they're not worth measuring.
The church my mom had us all go to growing up has a "kitchen" for homeless and struggling people that was run by a few women who the Church was letting use the space. I don't know if they church did anything to offset the costs of food or whatever that they women invested in it. At the time the congregation was quite large and as far as I knew only about 15 people tops helped out with prepping and serving the food, and I think all the people were from the Hispanic members of the congregation.
