As far as the rest, she's just snobby and assumes everyone is supposed to be like her. I have plenty people get all weird when I say I don't like kids and never wanted them and don't have them. Oddly enough a lot of older women who are widowed now tell me "Good for you!". There's a lot of repressed anger in older women who weren't lucky enough to be able to be different even if they wanted to.
