As far as the religion thing. The main reason you most likely see that is because people are fed up with religion overall, at least in the States, due to a variety of scandals, backing of politicians etc etc. If you want to discuss comparative religions etc, this is probably not the right place for it. Many of us are burned out, now agnositc or atheist or just not caring about it anymore.

You may have a better chance looking into the Spirituality tag vs religion. Just a thought.
